The literal meaning of Eda Uchi Kai is: The harmonising effect on branches, position, condition, length and undulation. Not surprisingly, this is what we’re trying to accomplish with our trees.

We are a private bonsai club with 35 active members, who meet every first Monday of the month in Diepenbeek, Belgium.

Besides sharing the same hobby and passion, we want to learn more about bonsai from professionals but also from each other. The purpose of our club is to discuss and improve our bonsai, and we strive to bring our trees to the highest possible level. As a result of the progress, knowledge and good care, we’re quite proud that some of our members’ bonsai have gained national and international recognition and won prizes and awards.

Every time we meet, there’s a special theme. It could be a demo from a professional to show us techniques how to improve deadwood features on our trees. Or a lecture on fertilising or creating accent plants. On a regular basis, we also bring our own trees to discuss them and hear from each other, what aspects of the tree can be improved.

Of course we do welcome new members, as we’re always to share our passion and knowledge. So if you share our interest and passion, think about joining us. The best way to do this is to contact us, and attend one of our events. This is where you will meet us and find out if there’s a fit.
